Malahat Review, The
The Malahat Review (founded 1967) publishes new contemporary poetry, fiction, and creative nonfiction by emerging and established Canadian and international writers; each issue also reviews several recent books by Canadian literary writers and each cover features the work of a contemporary Canadian (or, occasionally, international) artist. The magazine aims to represent and promote the range and diversity of current literary writing and writers from Canada (and to a lesser extent from abroad). Four annual contests judged by writers not associated with the magazine’s editorial boards further extend the range of writing and writers published. The editorial boards and contest judges welcome submissions from around the world, whether written in or translated into English.
