Augur Magazine
Augur Magazine is a Canadian literary magazine that publishes speculative (sci-fi, fantasy, horror, etc.) and surrealist short fiction, poetry, and graphic works. Augur works to: (1) bridge the gap between the traditionally literary and traditionally genre spheres of literature; (2) publish at least 80% Canadian content, for Canadian and international audiences; and (3) platform and support traditionally marginalized and underrepresented creators. Augur publishes four issues yearly: three standard issues and one slice-of-life issue under the “Tales and Feathers” brand. Augur is the only Canadian speculative magazine recognized by the Science Fiction Writers Association, which sets guidelines on professional pay, and which allows our creators to receive nominations for major SFFH awards.
